William Thomas Culbreth, Sr. was the son of Malcolm Nathaniel Culbreth and Katie Duncan. He was born in the Moss Neck community. He served in World War I and married Inez Lewis.

1) William Thomas Culbreth, Jr (December 27, 1919 - October 19, 1970) married Elizabeth Beeson Falls.
